The meaning of V. M. Bekhterev’s school in formation of biopsychosocial concept of neuro-psychiatric disorders

The authors of paper make it clear, that modern biopsychosocial model of mental disorders is widely considered to be the best way of aggregation of information in psychiatry. This approach is based on V. M. Bekhterev's ideas and his school on necessity of complex approach to resolving the problem of «study of human nature». Within this approach a person is considered to be the multilevel, hierarchically organized system, such understanding presupposes that system endures transformations from one level to another more higher and complex. According to this point of view during last years a necessity for the multiaxial diagnostic approach aroused (unlike available atheoretical approaches) and based on the certain concepts promoting intensive development the functional diagnosis concept. Modern concept of functional diagnosis based on three main theoretical positions: biopsychosocial model of mental diseases, the adaptable concept in psychiatry and the theory of functional systems.
