Legislative limits and practice of sentencing for attempted murder of the newborn child by mother

The article analyzes the legal limits of punishment for attempted murder of the newborn child by mother; the author compares them to the limits of punishment for intentional causing grave harm to health under similar circumstances. The article contains the results of the generalization of the practice of sentencing for attempted murder, under Article 106 of Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to design a preferred corpus delicti of the intentional causing grave harm to health of the newborn child by mother.
