Impact of recreational physical training on the functional state of women (65-75 years old)

The article discusses the problem of attracting elderly people to regular health related physical exercises. The paper studies the influence of health related physical training on the functional state of women of retirement age. The study involved women of retirement age (65-75 years old), engaged in the center of active aging "Northern Lights" in the Leninsky district of Ulyanovsk. The study was carried out at training sessions of health related physical training in the health group of the center for active aging. The paper presents the content of a health-improving complex of physical exercises, developed for women, taking into account the age and functional capabilities of those involved. The content of the complex of recreational physical training includes specially selected means. The authors describe and substantiate the set of exercises in detail. The material presents the indicators of testing the cardiovascular system, before and after the physical load. The dynamics of changes in adaptation to the loads of the cardiovascular system is traced, the results are shown after ten months of regular training. The indicators of physical fitness are discussed. The paper presents the indicators of women of retirement age on testing for "flexibility", speed-strength endurance of the abdominal muscles, strength endurance of the muscles of the shoulder girdle. The authors used the methods of mathematical statistics to process the results of preliminary and final testing. Analysis of the level of physical abilities and functional state of women participating in the experiment made it possible to establish that the most significant positive dynamics was observed in the indicators of flexibility and speed-strength endurance of the abdominal muscles, which were low at the beginning of the pedagogical experiment, and significantly improved at the end of the study, hypothesis set in our experiment was confirmed. This fact confirmed the possibility of obtaining a training effect, which allows maintaining significant abilities and applied vital skills at an optimal level.
