Intra-corporate thefts in insurance: forensic analysis and counteraction

The article deals with the criminalistic characteristics of intra-corporate thefts: misappropriation and embezzlement committed in insurance. The offences in question are committed by professional subjects of the insurance business - full-time employees of the insurance organization, insurance brokers and other persons performing mediation function, as well as senior management of insurance organizations. By exploring of law enforcement practice, the article considers typical ways of committing these crimes, the personality characteristics of a typical criminal, and other criminally relevant features of their сommission, investigation and prevention.
