Implementation of innovative technologies in education at ministerial higher educational institutions

The proportion of informational and communication technologies introduced in the training process at ministerial higher educational institutions used in various forms of the lessons, organization of the cadets’ and trainees’ scientific and self-study work has increased. The questionnaire poll conducted among 100 cadets of the Vologda Institute of Law and Economics of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service reveals that 66% of the respondents are willing to combine computer work with communication with the teacher. 50% of the respondents find it difficult to adjust to computer technologies due to the great bulk of tasks for self-study and lack of skills in individual work. However, 80% of the cadets approve the usage of new technologies in studying. It requires development of the teacher’s innovative activity which is one of the strategic areas. The study of the process of cadets’ introducing to new informational technologies (according to the questionnaire polls conducted among first and second-year cadets) enables the author to conclude that 30% of the respondents experience difficulties connected with organization of expedient use of their own time budget, readiness to learn by themselves, striving for learning etc. The cadets failed to perform without a teacher and found it difficult to adjust to new learning technologies.
