Among the controllable factors affecting the disease incidence of children, an important role is played by physical activity that promotes normal growth and development and helps to prevent diseases. The results of the analysis of the scientific and methodical publications indicate insufficient motor activity in children of primary school age, which leads to the development of physical inactivity; reduce their health, defective development. Despite the variety of organizational forms and means of motor behaviour optimization, it is necessary to ensure conformity of the level and nature of the motor activity with age, sex, typological and individual characteristics of the developing organism, its functional capabilities and the state of health. Therefore, this issue requires further study to determine the relationship in terms of the volume of their physical fitness, mental processes and morphofunctional parameters. This article provides basic information on state of physical activity of children in modern secondary school. This article discusses aspects of the scope of physical activity for children of primary school age, and its best performance of their development. The effect of the volume of motor activity on physical fitness, physical and functional development, mental and physical performance has been defined.
