Vladivostok commercial seaport in the early years of Great Patriotic War, 1941-1942

Based on archival documents, the article examines the activities of the Vladivostok Commercial Seaport in receiving and shipping of foreign cargos delivered to the USSR under the Lend-Lease program during the first two years of the Second World War. The author considers a set of measures for the development of port infrastructure, the organization of work, and human resources policies. Special attention is paid to the main difficulties faced by the port under the increasing cargo traffic and the ways to overcome them.
