Contribution of non-profit NGOs to solving social problems in the Russian Federation

In the Russian Federation the problem of social development and social protection of the population has acquired special significance. In the sphere of social development it is necessary to ensure constant growth in the quality and standard of living, improvement in the quality of services provided to the population and the development of social infrastructure. The main task of the development of the social sphere is activities that guarantee a reduction in the level of unemployment, property stratification of citizens and the elimination of negative social phenomena such as crime, homelessness and vagrancy, etc. Current economic situation in almost all countries of the world imposes an obligation on the governments of states to look for new alternative ways to increase the level of national welfare and improve the quality of life of their society as a whole. Improving the standard of living of the population in any state is considered a step forward and advancement in global rankings, where this indicator is used. Traditionally, the social sphere is the domain of the state. Since non-profit organizations arise in the economy due to any market imperfections, changes in the needs of the population, the emergence of social difficulties - they are designed to solve a range of identified problems, help to implement some ideas, share interests and carry out all kinds of projects. Recognizing the importance of non-profit organizations as elements of the development of the social sphere, the state raised the issue of opening a market for social services for non-profit organizations as one of the priorities of its policy.
