"The substance of existence" as the central idea in the novel "Chevengur" by A. Platonov

The notion of "the substance of existence" is present in almost every work of Andrey Platonov. As a matter of fact, all the writer's ideas seem to boil down to this concept. It represents both, the way and the final goal of Platonov's searches as an artist. The sense of this term evaluates throughout his works. The writer starts his semantic experiments with referring to the N. Fiodorov's philosophical ideas, than he moves to analyzing the phenomenon of communism and ends with the conclusions of the universal character of Christian ideas.
