Thematic groups of Victorian era professions

In the original article semantic peculiarities of lexis dealing with professions in Victorian English were investigated. The author made an attempt to choose and analyze the words related to work, job and occupation. The results of the research show dividing of lexis to 8 thematic groups. The paper allows getting additional information about intellectual workers and history in Victorian Britain.
