Introduction. The aim is to develop methods and special tasks to estimate skills of wrestling combat techniques under operational service conditions. Маterials and Methods. Theoretical analysis of scientific methodical literature, study of internal documents and legal acts, pedagogical experiment, observation, expertise, mathematical and statistical methods were employed. Results and Discussion. The authors suggest a classification and technology to develop special multi-level tasks with regard to modern normative requirements within the competency-based approach to specialists’ training exemplified by throws. The paper reveals general and optional conditions which make it possible to model the tasks of different level of complexity. The authors compiled and developed a matrix of conditions used for making up learning and control tasks to improve skills of wrestling combat techniques. The results of the pedagogical experiment are given. Valid significant interconnections between the tasks of different levels of complexity are revealed. Conclusions. 1. Classification of the conditions according to which the learning task on using wrestling combat techniques is made more complicated makes it possible to systematize and regulate the process of improving skills of their usage at different stages of training. 2. The authors specify the main condition which defines the level of complexity of the task to use wrestling combat techniques - it is the changed position of an assistant in space according to the time and speed. 3. The tasks related to wrestling combat techniques for speed and their performance from non-standard starting positions predetermine the assessment of the level of the formed skills in wrestling techniques.
