50 hemodialysis patients (M - 19, F - 31, mean age was 55±12 years) were studied. Pulmonary artery pressure was evaluated using Doppler echocardiography. Bioimpedance analyses were performed and total body water and extracellular body water were determined. The prevalence of pulmonary hypertension before start of hemodialysis was 58 %. There was correlation between regress of left ventricular mass and decrease of pulmonary pressure after 12 month of hemodialysis. We didn’t detected correlation between pulmonary blood pressure and the blood flow rate in arteriovenous fistulas. Pulmonary artery pressure was associated with extracellular body water.
