Structure and meaning of legal status of persons rendering confidential assistance to criminal investigation bodies by the legislation of republic of Belarus

The article touches upon the problem of defining structure and meaning of legal status of persons rendering confidential assistance to Criminal Investigation Bodies. Based on the current rules of law regulating confidential assistance, theoretical and legal conceptions and approaches used in the theory of criminal investigation activity and in the science of law, it is presented the structure of legal status of persons rendering confidential assistance to Criminal Investigation Bodies; meaning of their rights and duties is shown, and peculiarities of their legal liability for non-performance the statutory duties are defined.
