The given research is devoted to the thorough examination of peculiarities connected with the development of cognitive basics of self - regulated behaviour in junior school children who go and dont go in for sport. Different parameters of the development of intellectual operations, search planning and inner-activity planning among children who have already been athletes and those who dont attend a sport school have been determined.
