Analyzing the independent tourism development in Belgorod on the basis of queries

Koroleva Inna S., Vishnevskaya Ekaterina V.

Статья научная

Independent urban tourism is a promising area for the internal tourism development in the context of existing economic and global world trends. Travelers plan and choose a travel route, book tickets for transport and hotels, study museums, attractions that they want to visit on a trip by themselves; and it is the features of independent tourism. Belgorod is an object of independent urban tourism. When travelers are organizing tours, they often use Internet resources; the frequency of search queries makes it possible to assess the demand for a specific product or destination. The analysis of the demand for tourist attractions in Belgorod is based on user requests in Yandex. The demand for tourist attractions in Belgorod is stable. The frequency of Internet requests for tourist depends on seasonality, it should be considered in planning the tourism sector development. The main consumers of tourist services in Belgorod are residents of Belgorod and Moscow regions, as well as other nearby regions, such as Voronezh, Kursk, Oryol. Microcations, which involve short trips closer to home and away from popular tourist destinations, are becoming a major travel trend. The analysis of requests made it possible to identify factors that impede the development of Belgorod as a tourist center - a narrow range of entertainment services, their high cost, the focus of local travel companies on outbound tourism, low quality of tourist infrastructure and services, low awareness of tourists about Belgorod as a tourist destination.

Khetagurova Valeriya Sh., Kryukova Elena M.

Статья научная

Ethnic tourism, combined with elements of gastronomic tours, is one of the possible directions of the ethnocultural revival of the small peoples of Russia, and maintaining the integrity of the ethnic cultural space. Ethno-gastronomic tourism is able to help small regions of the Russian Federation to create their own unique trade offer in the tourism market during the postpandemic crisis and contribute to the creation of new jobs in the tourism industry for the indigenous autochthonous population. Analysis of socio-economic factors in the development of ethnogastronomic tourism in the context of preserving the identity of the small peoples of Russia and the development of practical recommendations aimed at diversifying the tourist product and ethnic self-identification of small peoples, contains the following tasks: an overview of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the development of ethno-gastronomic tourism; research of the most popular Russian tourist destinations and the prospects for their development; analysis of the target audience and the degree of demand for ethno-gastronomic tours at the present stage; development of practical proposals for the modernization of the organizational and economic mechanism of ethno-gastronomic tourism. Ethno-gastronomic tourism can draw attention to the problem of preserving the identity of the small peoples of the Russian Federation, as well as contribute to the infrastructural and economic development of sparsely populated regions of the country. Cruise tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan

Cruise tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan

Khusnutdinova Svetlana R.

Статья научная

The article examines cruise tourism from the point of view of the possibility of ensuring the recreation and the tourism development in the urban environment and city agglomeration. The foreign experience in the organization of river cruises is briefly reviewed. The article demonstrates significant potential of the hydrographic network of Volga Federal District in general, as well as city agglomerations of the Republic of Tatarstan in particular. The period of the pandemic showed the demand among people for short trips along rivers and lakes within the city, city agglomeration and region. However, such voyages tend to be out of the question for water cruises. The article proposes and defines the term “mini cruise” to refer to travel less than 24 hours. The role of mini-cruises in local socio-economic life is shown. The Republic of Tatarstan has all the necessary factors to expand the range of river cruises, incl. minicruises: a wide range of natural factors, incl. an extensive hydrographic network; interesting coastal areas, different historical, cultural and modern objects and events, intangible heritage; a historically established shipbuilding industry that includes large industrial enterprises, small businesses and craft initiatives. Further study of the potential of mini-cruises and their inclusion in the orbit of cruise tourism will help to solve issues in meeting the recreational needs of people and in creating new tourism products, and, therefore, developing the local economy.

Culinary tourism product of Lipetsk region

Culinary tourism product of Lipetsk region

Strelnikova Marina A.

Статья научная

Culinary tourism is a promising direction of the tourism industry. In 2001, the International Culinary Tourism Association (ICTA) was created, which was the date of its official recognition. The COVID-19 pandemic has made significant changes to the situation in the international travel market. Due to the closure of the borders of many states, domestic tourism has become more in demand, and it has become an urgent task to fit into the new conditions for Russian tourist destinations, offering high-quality tourism products, taking into account epidemiological requirements. Culinary tourism at this stage is developing under difficult circumstances. But the importance of its role in the context of domestic tourism in the Russian Federation before the pandemic and in the future is obvious. The article touches upon the theoretical aspect of the topic, gives a characteristic of culinary tourism as the research subject. The main attention is focused on the regional characteristics of the culinary tourism product in the example of Lipetsk region. The author reviews one of the main types of this tourism that is culinary event and its festival format implementation in the region. A brief description of these events is given, with an emphasis on the gastronomic experience they form. The culinary tourism routes complete the gastronomy tourism picture of the region. However, their quantity and content, according to the author, do not fully reflect the rich gastronomy of the region. The regional culinary tourism product could be diversified by culinary classes, workshops and seminars, fairs and exhibitions presenting local products and cuisine, trips and tours to markets and grocery businesses. In general, Lipetsk region has all the opportunities for the development of culinary tourism, subject to the systematic and coordinated work of all market participants and a favorable epidemiological situation.

Current trends and prospects of motorcycle tourism development in the Republic of Dagestan

Current trends and prospects of motorcycle tourism development in the Republic of Dagestan

Kolchugina Tatyana A., Kosinets Inna I.

Статья научная

The article examines tourist and recreational resources in the Republic of Dagestan and identifies development prospects of the new type of tourism, for which the region has all necessary recreational and infrastructural opportunities. The subject of research is motorcycle tourism as a promising type of outdoor activity in Dagestan providing a person with a unique opportunity to make an unforgettable trip to the most beautiful and inaccessible protected areas which are impossible to reach by other modes of transport. The purpose of research is to study world practices, analyse modern trends and methods of organising motorcycle tourism in order to substantiate further development of this tourism in Dagestan. The strategy for the socio-economic development of the North Caucasian Federal District until 2025 involves creating a mountain recreational cluster in the North Caucasian republics. However, today, despite Dagestan’s unique natural, historical and cultural resources, its tourism sector lags far behind Russia’s leading tourist destinations. The reasons are underdeveloped tourist infrastructure, the state of the road network and accommodation facilities. But for motorcycle tourism some challenges and a certain archaic local lifestyle can become a significant advantage of the tourist route. New tourist programs and original motorcycle routes based on the professional and safe content can attract additional tourist flows and give impetus to the socio-economic and tourist development of the region.

Design of tourist destinations as a factor of strengthening agglomeration processes

Design of tourist destinations as a factor of strengthening agglomeration processes

Khusnutdinova Svetlana R.

Статья научная

The article is devoted to the study of the design of tourist destinations as a factor in strengthening agglomeration processes. Recreational travel is an already studied factor in the formation of urban agglomerations in the industrial age. First of all, we are talking about dachas, recreation centers, school camps. However, at present, the character and goals of recreational flows have changed significantly in the direction of attending events and various agglomeration facilities by private vehicles. The core-city of the agglomeration, which has tourism as an industry of specialization, seeks to increase the time spent by tourists, incl. by expanding the geography of tourist attractions that can be visited in a day or two and returned to the core of agglomeration. Accordingly, for territories of the agglomeration, it is necessary to provide for allocation of space and engineering conditions for the creation of infrastructure designed to serve recreants and tourists. The article proposes to single out "narrow" and "broad" approaches to the design of tourist destinations. The "narrow" approach involves the design of new or reorientation of existing facility for tourist and recreational purposes. This approach is given attention in scientific and educational literature. When applying a “broad” approach to design, one should provide for the possibility of using a particular object not only for its intended purpose, but also provide for the possibility of using it as an object of tourist interest. The example of the Kazan agglomeration of the Republic of Tatarstan shows how purely tourist and recreational facilities function and how tourism industry becomes important for those who initially did not consider the development of tourism as a strategic goal when designing.
