In the following article, the authors continue to immerse Konjaku monogatarishu (Anthology of tales from the past) of the XIIth century in the complex context of its interrelations and similarities with other collections of setsuwa tales, compiled at the beginning of XII - XIV centuries. Multifarious in their subject area and narrative style, all of the tales compilations were more or less under the influence of Konjaku until the beginning of XVth century when setsuwa tales tradition went into decline.
