Sacred functions of the material components of the traditional costume of the Baltic-Finnish group of peoples on the example of the Karelians and Estonians

The article examines the traditional costume of the peoples of the Baltic-Finnish group (for example, Karelians and Estonians). The author points out the relevance of studying of traditional clothes in comparison with other elements of material culture, as it most clearly preserves the ethnic features and folk traditions peculiar to one or another ethnic group.
