Role of municipalities in the realization of the tasks of social and economic development of the regions of the Russian Federation

The article deals with the theoretical and practical aspects of socio-economic processes at the regional level. Regional and municipal experiences in enhancing socio-economic development of subjects of Russian Federation are presented. Management and legal problems, which order restraining the interaction of federal, regional and municipal authorities on the improvement of the level of socio- economic development of territories identified. Administrative and legal problems, that hinder of the cooperation between federal, regional and municipal authorities on the improvement of the level of socio-economic development of territories are shown. Concrete measures to implement the socio- economic development of the subjects of the Russian Federation and the effective participation of municipalities are offered.
