The article presents the modern approaches to the formation of the evidence base of the diagnostics of risk-associated pathology in children. The approaches comprise the principle of the consistent causal links of the results of sanitary, epidemiological, clinical, functional and laboratory studies to identify the source of the effect, to assess the exposure and to characterize the risk to public health, to establish the presence and level of exposure markers as well as the intensity of the response of the markers, to highlight the deterministic and stochastic pathogenetic significant regularities of the risk associated health disorders, which are targeted at the development of the set of diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive measures. Based on the developed diagnostic criteria of risk-associated pathology the authors propose a system of specialized care for children's population from the areas with sanitary and hygiene problems, that is aimed to minimize the consequences of health disorders associated with the exposure to environmental risk factors. The core of the system is a set of specialized medico-preventive technologies being developed with consideration of the risk level of pathogenic targeting and the evidence of the clinical manifestation of the pathological process, the objectives and tasks, as well as the field of application technology.
