Reportage as a genre: the problem of classification

Relying on the studies of reportage held by such scholars as M.N. Kim, A.V. Kolesnichenko, A.A. Tertychnyi, M.I. Shostak, the authors of this article present different approaches to the classification of this genre. According to the analysis, they come to the conclusion that the informational priority of the reportage is changing to the analytical one. It is caused by the readers need in deep understanding of current events.
