Regional retail markets of oil products in Russia: prerequisites and features of the formation

The article is devoted to consideration of consequences of reforming the Russian oil industry on regional gasoline markets. Competition in the regional gas stations is analyzed. Market power and concentration is calculated by means of Herfindahl-Hirschman Index. We conclude that reforms in Russian oil industry have substantially succeeded in its goals proposed 25 years ago.
