The growth of the international tertiary education market under the conditions of globalization

The paper analyses current trends in the growing market of tertiary education, which the author defines as a highly concentrated oligopoly. The ISCED approach is applied to characterize the scale and organizational content of the market through these indicators: public and private investment in tertiary education, countries' and households' expenditures as % of GDP and by PPP, the dynamics of inbound average annual mobility and net flow ratio, as well as Herfindahl - Hirschman concentration ratio.
