Development of thematic sections of the "Ecology and management of natural resources", "Marine biology", "Pollution" Of the electronic marine atlas ESIMO on the arctic seas of the Russian Federation

The paper briefly describes the history of appearance and purpose of the Electronic Marine Atlas ESIMO. The information sources used to build the thematic layers have been introduced. The methodology of data processing for the Atlas has been considered. Main results of the work and examples of the existing atlas have been presented.
