In this paper, the calculation of optical losses and the main characteristics of the receiver of a parabolic-cylindrical installation with a stationary concentrator are presented. The calculations made allow us to systematize a large number of different designs, to identify the structural and technological advantages and disadvantages of each of the main elements of the parabolic cylinder system. Comparatively evaluate their energy and technical and economic characteristics, as well as the performance indicators of modern parabolic cylinders, develop scientifically based methodological recommendations that help to raise the research and development work on the development, manufacture, testing and serial production of such installations to a new qualitative level, as well as their implementation in the practice of various farms.
