The professional standards in the system of athletes training in sport and health technologies

The article presents the results of the study of the structure and content of the professional standard "Athlete" that would increase the basic principles of the system of training athletes, enhance its professional-applied focus, as well as the results of comparative analysis of the structure of the qualifying position "athlete", provided for in the unified qualification handbook for managers, professionals and employees, see "Qualification characteristics of workers in the field of physical education and sport" approved by Order of the Health and Social Development Ministry of Russia on August 15, 2011 N 916n, and professional standard "Athlete" approved by Order of the Minis try of Labour and Social Affairs of the Russian Federation on April 7, 2014 № 186n. Professional standard allows to structure professional activity of an athlete through the description of requirements to job functions and the quality of their performance, eliminating the duplication of posts. Professional standard may be applied by sport federations in the selection and representation of athletes on relevant sports on allocation of titles and qualifications by international sports organizations, in forming and training national teams to participate in competitive sports; in the development of vocational educational training programs by sports universities in the field of physical education and sports, providing, thus, the relationship between professional training and the requirements of modern sport- continuous development of professional competencies of sport industry employees.
