Food security of the Russian Federation as a part of ensuring economic security in the country

This article examines food security as part of ensuring economic security in the Russian Federation. The views of scientists on this category are analyzed, as well as the regulatory framework of legal regulation, the author's position is given regarding the need to adopt the Federal Law «On Food Security». Also, this article identifies the main problems of ensuring food security in the Russian Federation. The author lists the international legal acts that secure the foundations for ensuring food security, presents the most effective doctrines and methods that are used by leading countries and world communities. The food security of the Russian Federation is one of the main directions of ensuring the national security of the country, a prerequisite for the implementation of the strategic national priority - improving the quality of life of Russian citizens by guaranteeing high living standards.
