Legal regulation of activities of civil society institutions in the fight against corruption: challenges

Introduction: the article is devoted to the study of the fight against corruption by civil society institutions and the criteria for the relevance of public structures to civil society institutions. Materials and Methods: to substantiate the proposed theses, the author used the author used such special methods of cognition as modeling, formal-legal, system-structural, comparative-legal. The theoretical basis of the study is the work of Russian scientists involved in the study of civil society institutions and how they participate in anti-corruption activities. Results: the article discusses various concepts of understanding civil society institutions: as a special state of society and as a separate sphere of society. The author substantiates the criteria for the relevance of public structures to civil society institutions. Discussion and Conclusions: the author's definition of civil society institutions is proposed based on public structures for these socio-legal entities.
