The article deals with the activities of Alexander Petrovich Georgievsky, a scholar, professor and public activist, after his arrival to the Russian Far East in 1918. The authors focus on his teaching and organizational work as a professor and dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, his research in humanities and initiatives in the establishing of archival service in the Russian Far East.
