The causes of the political failure of the mensheviks party

The article describes the main provisions of the political bankruptcy of the Mensheviks party. For a short period of time the Mensheviks had evolved from numerous parties in unpopular faction among the population. The main problem of the article is to determine the causes of such transformation. For its solution have been analyzed the political line of the Mensheviks party during the period from the February revolution until the fall of 1917. It was based on the support of the Provisional government programme views of the Mensheviks. It was a manifestation of the short-sightedness of party leaders, because as the deterioration of the internal situation in the country, dissatisfaction with the inaction of leaders grew, but from supporting the oligarchic government of the Mensheviks refused. Willingness to enter into a coalition with various political forces were initially paralyzed the ability to take action. An important cause was also incomplete plan for socio-economic change, particularly the lack of adequate agricultural program.
