“the beautiful lady seventieth latitude”: female images in the poetry of V. Shalamov

The article deals with shape modification of the feminine in the poetry of Varlam Shalamov. The starting point is the image of a Beautiful Lady by Alexander Blok in the variety of associative connections. Special attention is given to the “chivalry complex” in the general ideological and semantic context of poets with regard to their artistic personality.
