Legal aspects of the detention and delivery of the offender to the police station

The article raises the topical issue of lawful detention and delivery to the police station of persons who have committed administrative offenses and criminal offenses. The concept of "detention" is explained on the basis of the Criminal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Code of Administrative Offences, i.e. what a police officer must perform and observe during the detention of a detained person in order not to exceed his official powers and to ensure public order and the safety of citizens. The study of legal problems and the analysis of normative legal acts related to the use of coercive measures by police officers such as administrative detention and the delivery of a detainee to a police station was carried out. The analysis also revealed some problems associated with the possible detention and delivery of offenders to the police department by civilians, who in some cases stand up for their rights and legitimate interests.
