Portfolio and project method in educational environment of a higher educational institution of the Russian MIA

The article comprises analysis of pedagogical technologies - portfolio and project method - from the aspect of methods conducive to building a future specialist’s self-confidence, understanding the goals and achieving them, enhancing research skills and general cultural competencies. Basing on the empirical data the authors prove that these technologies contribute to organization and further self-organization of the learners’ cognitive performance, development of research skills and skills of employing science to comprehend and enhance future practical activity.
