Остров Врангеля в исторической географии российской Арктики глазами народа микмак

Остров Врангеля считается крупнейшим островом в восточном секторе российской Арктики. В настоящее время он имеет международный статус охраняемого природного объекта. Остров Врангеля - один из пяти объектов всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО в Арктике с уникальной разнообразной флорой и фауной. В настоящей статье автор применил космологические знания коренного народа микмак, чтобы представить остров Врангеля в качестве исторического актора в его взаимосвязи с антропоценом. Согласно избранному подходу, остров Врангеля, как и растения, камни, горы, вода и ландшафт, обладает уникальной индивидуальностью и особым духом. На протяжении веков остров Врангеля противостоял присутствию человека, чья деятельность мало на него повлияла. Сегодня только учёные посещают этот остров. Никто и никогда ещё не добился от острова больше, чем могут предложить его холодные и скользкие объятия. Трагедия заключается в том, что, несмотря на особенности острова, потепление российской Арктики может кардинально изменить ситуацию.
