Resume: Diseases accompanied by malabsorption syndrome continue to remain an urgent and largely unsolved problem in clinical medicine, becoming especially acute in pediatrics. This is due to the high prevalence of this pathology among children, especially in early age groups, and the fact that some pathogenetic links of this syndrome remain unclear to date. The syndrome of impaired intestinal absorption develops in many pathological conditions and is characterized by similar clinical signs, which creates certain differential diagnostic difficulties and often leads to a late correct diagnosis. The most common form of malabsorption syndrome is celiac disease, which occurs in the European population with a frequency of 1: 500 to 1: 3000. However, others also fall ill, often under the guise of celiac disease, which is far from uncommon, which also makes us look for reliable differential diagnostic criteria for these conditions.
