Peculiarities of somatometrical characteristics of higher qualification taekwondo athletes

Peculiarities of somatometrical characteristics of higher qualification taekwondo athletes are considered in the paper. Somatotyping inspection was conducted to the R. N. Dorokhovs metrical scheme. Clearance of verification level and component composition of the body mass (fatty, muscular, osseous) were being defined. 24 male taekwondo athletes of higher qualification (MS, MSMC), members of the Russia unified team aged 17-21 took place in the research which was held in the International Sambo Academy (the city of Kstovo). The results of the research may become a base for the composition of the standard morphological characteristics of this kind of sport and at the same time can be used as a criteria for the evaluation of the effectiveness of compositioning the training process.
