One of the factors of the athletic success in taekwondo is a development of strength. The growth of sportsmanship has an impact on the manifestation of motor asymmetry, which accounting can contribute to the right choice of roles and tactics of athlete’s actions and determine sport success. That is why the purpose of this work was the study of strength and endurance of the motor apparatus of qualified taekwondo practitioners, who have different motor asymmetry. The article presents the research results of the maximal muscular strength, working capacity, reduction in working capacity, maximum muscular endurance and the time limit for the retention of muscular effort, working capacity and endurance of 15 qualified taekwondo practitioners with different motor profiles of functional asymmetry. The results of the conducted studies showed that all the athletes were right-handed, most of them had the leading right lower limb. Not any significant differences in the effectiveness of motor activity among various representatives of motor asymmetry profile of taekwondo practitioners on power qualities indicators have been revealed. The higher muscles’ working capacity indicators, maximum muscular endurance and the time limit for the retention of muscular effort have been determined among all taekwondo practitioners when performing work with the leading hand, decreased muscle capacity among the representatives of the mixed motor asymmetry profile. The correlation analysis has revealed the dynamic specifics of physiological indicators among right-handed taekwondo practitioners in the form of positive strength connections, working capacity and endurance of the motor apparatus when working both with the leading and non-leading limbs. The conclusion on the one-sided asymmetry of power capabilities of the athletes’ muscular apparatus, the improvement of model standards, formed by the mechanism of central commands of the central nervous system, the determinant influence of physical loads from the leading party to the non-leading, the need for the basic research of physiological mechanisms, explaining the features of the motor asymmetry profile in taekwondo have been made.
