Features of some modern concepts and models of the organization and activities of the investigative body in Russia

Purpose: To explore the individual concepts of the organization of the preliminary investigation bodies in Russia and the models for their implementation, as well as to identify their positive and negative sides. Methodology: Historical, modeling, and formal legal methods, as well as a comparative legal approach were used. Results: The article considers a set of interrelated theoretical, legal, and organizational features and problems of individual concepts and models of building preliminary investigation bodies in the context of the reform of the law enforcement system in the Russian Federation. The concept of a unified and independent investigative agency and the model for its implementation in Russia in detail in order to increase the objectivity and impartiality of the participants in the preliminary investigation were analyzed. Novelty/originality/value: The article has a high scientific value, since it is one of the first complex attempts to investigate the features of individual concepts and models of the organization and activities of preliminary investigation bodies in the context of their development. Developed and justified new legal proposals and recommendations relating to the implementation in practice of the concept of a unified and independent investigative agency.
