Clinical picture peculiarities in patients seeking medical-psychological assistance in association with job loss threat

Depressive, anxiety disorders and their comorbid states in unemployed persons were studied. In the process of the investigation earlier little studied group of patients with threat of the job loss has been distinguished. Mean age of patients was 45+7,3 years. In patients of this group mixed anxiety and depressive disorder is reliably more often diagnosed (F42.1). The leading syndromes in the clinical picture of mental disorders were anxious-depressive and asthenodepressive ones, what was confirmed by the Hamilton Anxiety and Depression Rating Scales. Age older 45 years may be regarded as a risk factor influencing the possibility of mental disorder development under conditions of the situation of the threat of job loss.
