Ontogenetic regularities of development of human fetus brain against the background of maternal alcoholism

With methods of computer morphometry, light and electronic microscopy we have studied brains of 7-12-week embryos and fetuses from women with alcoholism. Regularities of ontogeny of offspring's brain expressed themselves in the elements of proliferative, destructive and reactive character of response of nervous and glial cells, their organelles, contacts and vessels to prenatal impact of alcohol have been identified.
