The article summarizes the results of thirty years old research on the sphere of perceptions and experience of children, adolescents and young people in the field of corporal practices. Three areas of research allowed, first, to detect the prevailing stereotypical views in the issues of «physical education», «physical training», «sport», «physicality» and «body», which is largely determined by the style of secondary and higher education. Secondly, a statistically significant relationship between the nature of the body and motor experience of preschool and primary school children and its actualization in both educational practice and sports is revealed. At the same time, there is a question of scientific correctness in determining the effectiveness of the applied methods of teaching and training. Third, the corporeality of children and adolescents must still be properly «localized» in the pedagogical system that meets modern challenges.
