Non-procedural guarantees of judges independence in criminal justice

The article deals with a package of non-procedural measures aimed to secure the independence of judges in criminal proceedings. We substantiate an extension of operation of Chapter 3 of Article 8.1 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation to non-procedural appeals from the court chairman, deputy court chairman, president judge, as well as from judges, who do not considering a case to the judges who consider the case.
