Multimodal transportation: concept and organization

This article describes the concept of multimodal transportation, as well as the distinctive features inherent in this particular method of cargo transportation in international trade. The role of the operator of multimodal transportation, which directly organizes the entire process of cargo delivery, as well as the specifics of its work under the delivery contract, is disclosed. The options of contracts for the delivery of goods are described, depending on the conditions of delivery. The main principles of the multimodal system functioning are highlighted.
