The main objective of this work is to make a first qualitative exploratory analysis of the University Cities in the light of the new framework of the “MIL Cities” or Media and Information Literacy Cities proposed by UNESCO and the Global Alliance for Partnerships in Media and Information Literacy (GAPMIL - Global Alliance for Partnerships on Media and Information Literacy), applied to University Cities, using the 13 indicators, inspired by this paradigm and focusing on everything the health indicator, through the case of the University of São Paulo. The effective implementation of this paradigm could contribute to overcoming some of the structural and social problems at universities. The MIL Cities framework includes previous concepts, such as Smart City, Knowledge City, Creative City, Innovative City, Educating City and Healthy City. The proposal consists of the development of university cities that not only use new technologies, but also bring in the participation of new stakeholders, especially young people; in an ethical, sustainable, critical and creative way, under the prism of responsibility and sustainability considering the social impacts that the actions cause. The methodology used was qualitative and exploratory focusing on the case of the University of São Paulo, using the bibliographic, sitiographic review and the interview, as research techniques on top of the case of the University of Sáo Paulo. The main result obtained was a first approximation to the reality of university campuses, understood as cities, from the MIL perspective on everything regarding health metrics, showing that they still have a long way to assess themselves using the parameters of MIL university cities.
