In this paper, we consider the possibility of applying spot analysis (a variety of qualitative analysis) to the study of adsorption processes. Our results showed the validity of using this method. We further discuss its advantages and disadvantages. We applied this method to comparative study of adsorption properties of several modified bentonite sorbents towards o-phenylenediamine. Modification of bentonite is high-temperatureprocessing, different its mode, you add bentonite to the structure of glycerin and carbon nanotubes (CNT). Using the scheme of the study effect of bentonite modification method on its adsorption ability andconcluded that the prospects of application of modified bentonite in water purification. It is revealed that all the investigated sorbents have shown ability to adsorption of o-phenylenediamine, but invarying degrees. Sorbents, which modified the specified organic compounds generally showed better adsorptionability of bentonite than who only thermal processing. However, modified bentonite CNT, compared withbentonite modified CNT and glycerol in combination, showed significantly greater adsorption activity. It is also noted that on the adsorptive properties ofbentonite influenced firing-roasting without prior heathas the advantage in comparison with a gradual increase in temperature.
