Relevance. A power serve in modern volleyball reaches high speeds, what is made possible by special training. The quality and reliability of the performance of a power serve can be improved through the motor characteristics, psychomotor coordination components: distinctive sensitivity of movements, which includes: discriminatory sensitivity of time, space and power difference. Main idea and aim. To improve the performance (accuracy, strength, reliability) of a power serve through the correction of motor psychomotor acts. To prove the importance of the improvement method of a power serve in volleyball. Research methods. Through the subtle psychomotor components of the sensory coordination it is proposed to increase motor sensitivity, managing and adjusting the general process of a psychomotor action, developing innate abilities to the possible upper limit. The developed methodology for the improvement of a power serve, consisting of a set of exercises to improve the ability to distinguish between short intervals of time, spatial parameters, force parameters and to handle them in the performance process of the complex coordination actions, tests, to mark the results by effects parameters, it has been checked for suitability. The experiment results have been analyzed, with the control tests by motor components and the final control ones have been compared. The final testing for accuracy and quality of a power serve as a game moment has been conducted, as well as the results of the experimental group with the control one have been compared. Research results. A set of exercises and tests, included in the improvement methodology of a psychomotor components of a power serve, are of a practical importance and can be used in sports training. Developing the motor components of a complex coordination psychomotor act, it is possible to qualitatively influence the overall process, forming the accuracy and reliability of the performance, which are formed due to the dynamics of the takeoff run, technical performance and corrective psychomotor functions in space, efforts and time intervals. The prospects for the further scientific research in the field of psychomotor as an integral part of the motor abilities of athletes are obvious.
