Lingvopragmatic potential of linguistic means for representaition of an "alien" image in British mass media texts

The article focuses on the vital linguistic problem - usage of opposition "our - alien" in mass media of Great Britain. The author has chosen examples on the topic "other countries" for the research purpose. It is proved that the "alien" image is represented by means of tropes, syntactic figures, and modality of utterances.
