Crediting the peasant cooperation at the beginning of the XXth century

The article attempts to analyse the activity of cooperatives in the provinces of the Middle Volga Region during the period of «military communism». Quite often the cooperations appeared to be defenceless in front of the tyranny of the local authorities.
