Представлен краткий обзор докладов конференций по космонавтике, проведенных Американским институтом аэронавтики и астронавтики (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics - AIAA) в августе 2014 г. (г. Сан-Диего, США). В обзоре упомянуто 86 докладов (около четверти) конференций AIAA Space Conference и AIAA/AAS Astrodynamics Specialist Conference. Тематика докладов весьма обширна. Рассматривались перспективные проекты пилотируемых полетов за пределами околоземного пространства - окололунные полеты, миссии к окололунным точкам либрации, к астероидам и Марсу. Ряд сообщений включал комплексный взаимосвязанный анализ подобных миссий. Значительное число докладов было связано с различными аспектами околоземных космических полетов, такими как сближение на орбите и орбитальные инспекции, наблюдение Земли и космических объектов, многоспутниковые системы. Традиционно были представлены результаты разработки новых методов динамики полета.
