The issues of competition in tourism are discussed, the presence of a specific competitive force is noted - the local population, which has a significant impact on the competitiveness of tourist destinations. The change in the values of competitiveness factors in the context of digitalization is emphasized. It is concluded that the main factor is the information and communication support of tourism.
