Confucianism in the politics of socialism with Chinese characteristics

This article examines the problem of reflecting of Confucianism in Chinese guidance’s domestic policies in the last leadership of the 20th century. For the Chinese leadership Confucianism was the most convenient instrument for ideological justification of domestic policy, which based on traditional Chinese values and traditional mentality. Taking into account the fact that in the past Chinese communist leaders neglected Confucian values what caused many problems in the country, the beginning of socialism politics with its specific Chinese features marked a return to Confucian ideas and their active use in order to make people support the Chinese Communist Party's political course. The result was the creation of an improved Chinese world-view called Post-Confucianism.
